Summary

The Machine Operator role is within a potato-processing company in the food industry, focusing on monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining production processes to ensure efficiency and continuity. This position involves interpreting and implementing daily schedules for assigned shifts, adapting to production changes by starting and stopping lines, handling product transitions, and performing cleaning tasks. Upholding hygiene and safety standards, the Machine Operator ensures thorough cleaning of equipment and provides additional guidance to cleaning personnel as needed. Accurate recording of production data and material usage in the ERP system is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Control, monitor, and optimize the production process in collaboration with team leaders in a food production environment.
  • Execute daily schedules and respond to production needs, including line adjustments, product changes, and cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards, ensuring thorough cleaning of equipment and providing additional instructions to cleaning staff as necessary.
  • Record production data and material usage in the ERP system.
  • Adjust process parameters within established ranges to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic and team-oriented with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive in addressing issues and suggesting improvements for the production line.
  • Open to variation, challenges, and motivated to learn.
  • Interest in technology and the food industry, especially potato processing.
  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to work in a two-shift system (05h-13h or 13h-21h).
  • Self-arranged transportation to Wielsbeke.
