Summary

For a well-known automotive manufacturer in Ghent, we are seeking skilled Automation Specialists to join their production facility, which focuses on manufacturing traditional and electric vehicles. The role involves analyzing and resolving issues in fully automated production systems, optimizing installations for improved efficiency and reliability, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance. The specialist will collaborate within a team of technicians to introduce new installations, ensure adherence to regulations, and provide training to colleagues. The position offers a gross hourly salary of €24.17, with additional shift compensation (11% for a 2-shift schedule or 26% for night shifts) and meal vouchers worth €5.70 net per working day.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance automated systems to improve efficiency, quality, and dependability.
  • Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in automated systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Deliver training and support to team members.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new equipment and processes.
  • Collaborate within a team of technical specialists to maintain production standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English (B2 level).
  • Willingness to work in a 2-shift system (5:00 AM-1:00 PM / 1:00 PM-9:00 PM).
  • Technical diploma required, preferably in Electromechanics.
  • Stable work history with over 3 years of experience in a single company.
  • Proven experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance of automated production lines and PLC-controlled machines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and a passion for staying updated with technological advancements.
  • Willingness to learn Dutch (language lessons provided).
