Shop assistant

For a manufacturing company specializing in door and window hardware, we are looking for a meticulous and hands-on Pad Printing & Paint Shop Assistant. In this role, the main responsibility is applying customer logos onto latches using a pad printing technique. The process involves securing the handle in a caliber, setting up the pad printing machine, and ensuring the correct paint mixture. Precision and attention to detail are crucial. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the paint shop by placing pieces onto paint hooks for coating and removing them afterwards. The assistant must sort the correct pieces by color and quantity, inspect them for defects (such as paint errors, scratches, or material flaws), and report any deviations to the team leader. Finished pieces are scanned, documented, and placed on pallets for internal transport. This position requires working with chemical products in a well-ventilated environment where a paint-like smell is present. Due to ergonomic reasons, a minimum height of 1.60m is recommended. Salary: Competitive salary with a shift allowance and £6 meal voucher a day.
