Summary
For a leading company with almost a century of experience in building iconic steel structures, both nationally and internationally, we are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator. This company aims to be a one-stop-shop partner, making a meaningful difference for its markets and customers with technical know-how and a sustainable, reliable, and care-free approach. They are known for creating large-scale projects like bridges and locks, and their international references include structures such as the Havenhuis in Antwerp, the Baltic Exchange Tower and the Gherkin in London, le Pont de l'Europe in France, and the Prins Claus Bridge in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary package, supplemented with fringe benefits.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC-controlled machines, including a punching machine, a welding robot, and a drilling line.
- Operate roller bridges and half-gantry cranes.
- Drive a reach truck.
- Independently load machines using overhead cranes.
- Read plans and adjust programs as needed.
- Check programs for errors and identify potential improvements.
- Check and register finished pieces.
- Proactively look for quality improvements, propose them, and work on their implementation.
- Be deployed flexibly across multiple machines and related tasks.
- Ensure that they and their colleagues work safely at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be a quality-conscious operator with a strong technical affinity.
- Requires at least one year of practical experience with CNC-controlled machines, preferably within the metal sector.
- Must possess good spatial insight.
- Needs the ability to read and interpret technical plans.
- Experience with oxygen and plasma cutting or metal machining is a plus.
- Must be focused on their own safety and that of their colleagues.
- Requires fluent Dutch or fluent English with some knowledge of Dutch.
- Must be proficient with computers, smartphones, and tablets.
- Must be willing to work in two or occasionally three shifts.
