Summary

A growing technical service provider in the construction equipment sector is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to be based in Oostende, Belgium. You will work in a workshop environment, focusing on testing and maintaining cranes and construction lifts to ensure they are ready for deployment. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role offering a competitive hourly wage within metal and mechanical industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and test tower cranes, fast-assembly cranes, and construction lifts before deployment
  • Test motors and remote-control systems for proper functionality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with a small maintenance team
  • Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards before leaving the workshop
  • Follow established protocols for inspections, repairs, and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, including frequency drives and motor controls
  • Background in electrical maintenance, mechanical repair, or equivalent training (formal or via experience/hobby)
  • Welding skills are a plus
  • Strong focus on safety and quality
  • Good command of Dutch (basic technical English acceptable)
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training

Offer

  • Hourly wage: approximately €18.00–€20.00, based on experience and industry standards
  • Full-time position with the potential to transition to permanent employment
  • Daytime schedule, Monday to Friday (e.g., 07:30–16:15), ensuring weekends off
