A company specializing in the leasing and rental of trailers is seeking an experienced Workshop Mechanic to join their team in Antwerp. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs on trailers to ensure they remain in optimal condition for clients and internal use. Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on braking systems, lighting, and trailer superstructures
- Conduct general maintenance and bodywork on trailers
- Carry out mounting and structural tasks
- Perform quality checks and identify technical defects
- Maintain and service workshop machinery
- Participate in on-call breakdown services
Qualifications
- Technical background with experience in maintaining heavy vehicles or trailers
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, welding, brake systems, and bodywork
- Ability to quickly identify mechanical issues and apply effective solutions
- Strong sense of responsibility and hands-on mentality
- Good command of English
- Willingness to work in two shifts after the initial period
- Experience with workshop equipment maintenance is a plus
- Team player with good communication skills
