Medior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, invoice verification, data entry, and payments.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and oversee month-end and year-end closures.
• Provide financial insights for planning, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Participate in budget development by analysing financial data, tracking expenses, and providing insights for budget development.
• Contribute to financial forecasting for long-term financial planning.
• Work closely with the CEO and external financial controller to ensure compliance with audits and corporate requirements.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors as required.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in accounting, in a mid-level role, in an international corporate setting – ideally in Brussels.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, and organisational abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to work proactively, autonomously and in teams.
• High level of flexibility, confidentiality, and professionalism.
