This position is within the Jabil Bray Engineering and Technology group who design and develop medical devices under the Design Controls process for ultimate transfer to manufacturing (low to high volumes, manual to fully automated assembly).

The Lead Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development and verification of complex medical devices. Apply knowledge from mechanical, mechatronic, electronic and manufacturing background to develop medical devices, prepare product specifications, develop product assembly solutions and develop testing requirements to meet regulatory submissions.

Summary The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the planning and implementation of all manufacturing processes in the plant such as change control, cost reduction, quality improvement, and safety/ergonomic improvements.

Education/Training/Experience: Qualified Electrician to senior trades level 3-5 years experience as an Electrician post apprenticeship preferably in an industrial /manufacturing environment. . Experience in facilities and PLCs essential, with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics desirable. Ability to work on own initiative. Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills.

Based out of our Bray office, you will be required to travel throughout Ireland and occasionally the UK/Europe and carry out scheduled maintenance calls along with the occasional emergency call out. Servicing and Maintaining Electro-Mechanical and embedded computer based control systems, a technical and analytical mindset is required.
